6. China China was one of those countries which were sent invitation by the founder of Islam himself to embrace Islam. This invitation had also been sent to three other kings; Zoroastrian Persia, Christian Byzantine and Hindu king of Kerala in India. “Embrace Islam or Pay the Jiziya or face a Muslim invasion.” The Chinese emperor did not quite understand the meaning of the ultimatum sent in the year 629 by Mohammed and thought that these were messengers from a faraway land, bringing a spiritual message and welcomed them honourably. But the Chinese understood the meaning of the letter couple of decades later, when in the year 651 A.D.; they had to march to the borders of their empire in Western China to unsuccessfully repel an Arab Muslim invasion launched from Persia. This was followed by a century of skirmishes between the Muslims and the Chinese which culminated in the major war between the two forces at the battle of the Talas River in 751 A.D. China is...

5. North Africa The Berbers were the ancient indigenous people of North Africa, west of Egypt. They were made up of many tribes. Berbers were gentle people who lived on agriculture and farming. They had managed to maintain their culture, their Hamitic languages, and self-governance during successive invasions of their land. They were colonized by the Phoenicians (who became the Carthaginians), followed by the Romans, the Vandals (one of the Germanic tribes that destroyed the Roman Empire), the Byzantines, and finally the Arabs. But Arabs destroyed Berbers. In the 7th century, the Berbers lived in uneasy peace with the Byzantines, who ruled the coastal cities of North Africa, after defeating the Vandals a century before. The ancient city of Carthage was the Byzantine capital in Africa. Some Berbers were Christians, some were Jewish, and some adhered to their ancient polytheist religion. Before the end of the century the region faced a new adversary, the Arabs. Ar...

4. Afghan Resistance After the death of Mohammed, the first Caliph had the first task to restore order in Arabia and reconfirm Islamaization of Arab tribes. This is called ‘war against apostasy’ (Ridda war). Once completed, a new savage force of united Arab tribes under Islamic doctrine burst out on neighbouring lands. Unfortunately, just then Sassanid Empire had exhausted itself by a 30 year war with Byzantine Empire. Arab Muslims defeated the Sassanid Empire at the battles of Walaja, al-Qadisiyyah and Nahavand within a couple of years and Persia was conquered. Then Islamic forces turned towards Afghanistan, east of Persia. The Muslim Arabs captured the city of Herat in 652 A.D. General Abdur Rahman bin Samara arrived from Zaranj to the Zunbil capital of Zamindawar with an army of around 6,000 Arab Muslims. The General started destroying temples and enforcing conversion. The people of southern Afghanistan began accepting Islam from this date onward. Muslim forces...

3. RESISTANCE INDIA Unlike the complete Islamization of Persia, Egypt, Mesopotamia, Turkey, North Africa, Islamization of India was never complete. After more than one millennium of Muslim occupation from 715 A.D to 1757 A.D, more than 80 percent of the population of undivided India remained Hindu at that time(1757 A.D.).This was NOT due to any Muslim charity or benevolence, since Islam does not profess tolerance and no Muslim ruler dared to go against Islamic teachings. The Muslim tyranny in India was as blood-thirsty and insidious as it was in all parts of the globe that were unfortunate to be trampled by the Jihadis. The Hindus suffered initial setbacks due to the innocuous but ill-founded belief amongst them, as amongst all other non-Muslims, that the Muslims too were normal rulers, who would after a victory, settle down to govern the defeated population. But the Muslims were, and still are, compulsively paranoid about jihad and ready to kill any non-believer without ...
