11. Kurds, a nation different Kurds are a 30 million strong stateless ethnic group, residing in mountainous region in the confluence of Iraq, Iran, Syria and Turkey. Kurds are fighting for autonomy to independence from the beginning of twentieth century. But they are up against formidable powers of four states. Each state considers Kurds as anti-national and had tried to exterminate them. Iraq under Saddam Hussain bombed, carried out chemical attack, burned villages and killed several hundred thousand Kurds and also resettled Arabs in their place. Syria tried to Arabize Kurds and disenfranchised a large number of Kurds. Persecution of Kurds is very common in Iran, and Turkey as well. Sometime or other each of these four states tried to relocate or exterminate Kurds. Despite all difficulties the Kurds remain defiant and carry on independence struggle. They have achieved some success in recent years in the midst of turmoil in Levant. In fact Kurds are the only sane force who cou...
10. Arabization of Egypt When Muslims attacked Egypt, Egypt was inhabited by Egyptian Christians following non-Chalcedonian Egyptian Church but ruled by Byzantine Christians following Chalcedonian Church of Constantinople. Egyptian Christians used to speak Coptic language which is related to old Egyptian language spoken in the days of Pharao’s. Greek was the court language spoken by Byzantine rulers. Muslims called the Egyptians as Gypt from which Copt name has arrived. Copt Christians took Arab Muslims as another occupant, no different than Byzantines and remained spectators in the Muslim conquest of Egypt. They will soon realize their folly. Beginning of attack In the latter part of December 639 A.D., a 4000 strong Muslim army reached Farma on the border of Egypt. It was a fortified town manned by a Byzantine garrison. The Muslims besieged the town. There were sallies and counter sallies with no decisive result. The siege dragged on for two months. Towards the...
9. Persia Once the Ridha war came to an end with all the Arabs of the Arabian peninsula subjugated and converted to Islam, the Muslims turned their attention on their northern neighbours, Sasanid Empire of Persia and the Byzantine Empire. And these Empires were least prepared to face an adversary equal to which there were none in history. Till the rise of creed of Islam, the world had known only imperial conquests, where the conqueror, be he Alexander, Cyrus, Julius Caesar, Hannibal or any other, the war took place between the opposing armies. The fate of the battle was decided on the battlefield alone. The common people, the unarmed civilians were not in danger of life and livelihood. They only had to accept the victorious adversary, new taxes and new administrators. The Muslim Arabs were different. They were not only nomads and fighting for profit; they were indoctrinated in a murderous creed. On one hand they had nothing to lose and on the other hand they were inspired b...

Mongols (1050-1258) According to Al-Bukhari, an early Muslim jurist; “In the Muslim community, the holy war (Jihad) is a religious duty, because of the universal-ism of the [Muslim] mission and the obligation to convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force...” Muslim destroyed every culture, every religion, every language and also every people that came in the path of Muslim advances. Muslims did not reach as far as Mongolia. How the Muslims tormented the Mongols is unknown. But the Mongols were aware of destruction caused by Muslims and the fierce and vicious counter-attack by the Mongols on Islamdom from 1200 to 1258 speaks of their hatred of Islam. Mongol attack was fiercer than the Crusades and it nearly wiped out Islam. The Man who almost destroyed Islam is known as Genghis Khan. Genghis Khan attacked the Turko-Persian Muslim Khwarazmian empire of Samarkand to avenge the attacks being launched by the Arab and Persian Muslims in to Central Asia. The ...
